Dragon Ball FighterZ (I still don’t know how I feel about that name) was one of the more pleasant surprises to come out of E3 2017. It’s a 3v3 fighter developed by Arc System Works, best known for their work on the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue franchises. While the two IPs certainly have their differences, they have one core identifier in common: they’re fast.

A convincing sense of speed is integral to recreating the Dragon Ball universe, and Dragon Ball FighterZ nails it. You can check out the reveal trailer up above. Then? Head down below to see an interview with Producer Tomoko Hiroki, and two videos featuring some epic fights between unassuming Dragon Ball dream teams.

Having took English classes as electives in college, Zach decided to pull the trigger on a merger between the two obsessions.
