Dying Light Spoofs Destiny’s Infamous Loot Cave Perfectly

Destiny has become synonymous with grinding thanks to its high demands for super duper loot, so back when the game first released players did anything they could to speed up the process. The first major exploit came in the form of a loot cave, or more affectionately known as Murder Cave, which allowed players to spawn kill baddies until the cave began to glow with various gems. It spawned all sorts of memes and Internet bits before Bungie patched it, forcing players to play the game how it intended them too.

Well, it appears that Techland has created an homage to Destiny’s loot cave in Dying Light. The cheeky easter egg was first spotted by a redditor who let the world know that it could be find in the upper right portion of the game’s map. Apparently there is some gear and a note that reads, “Your destiny is to become legend. Obtain more loot!” If you murder enough zombies you’ll eventually get a sly little message that takes another shot at Destiny’s loot cave and Bungie’s patch that reads, “Enough! Patch 1.0.2 has been released! Do more quests!”

Job well done Techland, job well done. You can check out the Dying Light Destiny loot cave homage after the break.
