Edward James Olmos to Have Recurring Role on Agents of SHIELD

Marvel has just announced that the former Battlestar Galactica star will have a major recurring role in Agents of SHIELD (no, I’m not typing all of those damn “.”).

Edward James Olmos will play Robert Gonzales, who is a character that Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb describes as being someone “everyone will have to take notice–including our favorite Agents.” The show returns on March 3, 2015, and the character of Robert Gonzales should be featured early on after the return.

About the show

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is Executive Produced by Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot co-writers, “Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agent Carter,” “Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Lost”).
