The April 2015 Loot Crate arrived and it got itself unboxed by yours truly. This month’s theme is “Fantasy,” so the packed in items revolved around nobility, dungeons, dragons, brides, and other mystical beings from fantastical worlds.

Unfortunately, the trend of lackluster Loot Crates in 2015 continues with April’s crate. There’s really nothing worth writing home about considering the best packed in item is a set of cheaply made Game of Thrones magnets. The direwolf USB stick is also a nice addition, but its oblong shape and small amount of storage space (4GB) make it somewhat useless considering today’s storage demands.

I’ll give Loot Crate until the end of 2015, but after a string of busts I’m definitely looking into switching my allegiance to Nerd Block, which appears to offer more “junk” that suits my fancy than the pioneering Loot Crate service. Anyway, you can check out April’s Loot Crate being unboxed above.
