Entertainment Buddha is back with our gift-giving guide for geeks. It is especially difficult to shop for geeks because they usually have it all before by the time Christmas comes around. As usual, the guide will include very easy items that can be picked up in-store or be shipped by December 24th. The stores will be crowed, but most of the items will still be on store shelves.

Consoles:

Yes, a video game console is always, always a good gift. This year is especially great because the Xbox One and PS4 have great bundles to choose from with good games packaged in each. For the Microsoft fan you can pick an Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundle for $349.99. It comes with Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed: Unity. There are two PS4 bundles to choose from at Best Buy which are buy a PS4 with four games and choose one to download or the white PS4 that comes with Destiny. If the geek in your life is not a fan of Sony or Microsoft there is always good ol’ Nintendo. There are still Wii U bundles to be found that come with Super Mario World 3D. For the hand held geek in your life GameStop is selling an NES Edition Nintendo 3DS that will make fellow geeks jealous.

Video Games/Accessories:

It goes without saying that if you’re going to buy someone a console for Christmas then you have to buy at least one game to play. Best Buy, Target, GameStop, and other retailers are having great last minute sales on video games for all consoles that worth checking out. For the PC gamer geek, we suggest with going with a Steam card then he or she can take advantage of the always super awesome Holiday Steam sale. PSN, Nintendo, and Microsoft gift cards are always an easy gift. Amiibos will also make a great gift for the Super Mario Smash Bros. fan in your life.

Movies/TV:

Guardians of The Galaxy is one of the perfect gifts to give to almost any geek. This movie has heart, laughs, and glory. Keeping in the Marvel family, Captain American: The Winter Soldier is also another great gift for the movie/comic book lover in your life. Malificent, How to Train Your Dragon 2, and TMNT are also just a few other titles that are gift worthy. For TV fans, anything Adventure Time will make any fan happy. Amazon is having a great sale on some TV box sets that are gift worthy.

Comic Books:

Image, Marvel, Vertigo, and DC Comics all have some really great content out for comic book fans to enjoy. Image and Vertigo are for those comic book lovers that stray from the more traditional stuff that Marvel and DC put out. There are some great volumes out there to be purchased as well. Take a peek on Amazon or better yet go visit your local comic book shop.

Trinkets/Art:

Geek loves little trinkets and geek art. There are plenty of websites that offer up some pretty great gifts. Firebox.com and ThinkGeek.com have some really great items for the geek in your life. If you’re looking for more specific items, you can always visit developer sites directly and buy some really cool merchandise for the indie game fan of games like Transistor or Shovel Knight. Funko POP figures are always a good gift and they are available almost everywhere now.

The list could go on and on, but we know that you some shopping to do. As always, if you must brave the crowds stay safe out there.
