Epic Launches Horde Dance-a-thon Event for Increased Cash and XP

Epic has announced that a new War Supporter event will take place this weekend called the Horde Dance-a-thon, which will allow gamers to score some extra cash and XP in that particular game mode. The way this new Horde mode works is that you gain interest on your cash that is earned each wave, and extra XP as long as you don’t fail. You could essentially earn interest for 50 waves straight if your balls are big enough to take on the Locust Horde without failing. I’m thinking I may have to throw the old Gears 3 disc in this weekend to get in on this action now that we’ll be able to re-up our multiplayer ranks come next Tuesday.

For the most part I’ve stayed away from public matches because there’s no reason to play them when you can do everything privately. An event like the Horde Dance-a-thon, and the upcoming re-up feature make for two good reasons to return to the Gears 3 battlefield. The Dance-a-thon and Brother to the End should both be in your Gears 3 playlists now, so get to shooting! You’ve been needing an excuse to play Gears 3 again with your buds…
