Epic’s Fortnite Shows off First Ever Unreal Engine 4 Game Screens

Epic Games held a Fortnite panel at the SDCC yesterday, and they showed off the game in its new Unreal Engine 4 skin.  This game was initially shown off at the Spike VGA’s in 2011, and at that time it was running in UE3.  Since then Epic has put it through the Unreal Engine 4 conversion, and the result is nothing short of impressive.  I’d still like to see some actual gameplay featuring the new engine, but if it comes close to the screenshots of the game embedded below, then I’d say Epic has another game engine that every triple-A company will covet.  You’ve been saddened to know that Fortnite, as of this writing, is a PC only title…
