ESPN Secures MNF Through 2021 and 3D Broadcasts of the Program

ESPN has just announced that they have secured the rights to broadcast Monday Night Football on their channel through 2021.  The more important announcement is that they also locked up the 3D broadcast rights for MNF, which makes me feel all gushy inside.  Unfortunately, the 3D broadcasts are still a few years away (Boooo!), so don’t expect any 3D NFL action until 2014 when the new MNF deal goes into effect.  In the words of the ESPN NFL crew, “Come on man!”  Oh well, I was kind of hoping that 3D broadcasts were already in place, but it seems as if I’ll have to stick to watching NCAA games for now.  Fail!  You’ve been needing this 3D gimmick to catch on…
