European Operator Profiles Hint at March 9 Release for iOS 5.1

One of the fanboys over at YourDailyMac spotted some interesting code in the carrier operator codes for Apple products running iOS that suggests a March 9, 2012 release of iOS 5.1.  These carrier codes are used to help ensure proper connectivity with the devices and the European networks that they are used on.  If this leak is indeed the Real McCoy we may be getting more than a chance to buy the iPad 3 in March.

I’m leaning towards this being legit because Apple has released iOS updates in conjunction with new product roll outs in the past, so it does make sense that iOS 5.1 will be coming out just in time for the iPad 3.  Now we just have to figure out what that changes will be.  If you have any thoughts, or pie in the sky changes for iOS 5 please let us know by using the comments section below.  You’ve got a heavy dose of Apple rumors today…
