The ‘Return of the Jedi’ kind of gets a bad rap with the older Star Wars fans because of Lucas’s use of those little furry b*stards on the Endor Moon. Personally, I don’t really have a beef with them, but I also watched ROTJ as a wide-eyed 3 year old back in ’83, so I had a different reaction than the older fans who watched it back then. I totally see where they’re coming from especially after watching the prequels as an adult. I found all 3 of those films to be overly kid oriented, but I’d imagine most of the current generation of Star Wars fans enjoyed those sh*tty attempts at reinventing the SW franchise.
Luckily movie editing tools are very accessible these days and fairly easy to use. This allows certain bad memories to be lessened by changing certain scenes to fit with how they envisioned a certain scene taking place in one of their favorite films. This is exactly what one fan did with the ending of ROTJ. If you are a card carrying member of the Ewok Haters Club, then you’ll be glad to know that Jedi doesn’t have to end the way it did. Imagine if part of the recently exploded Death Star crash landed on Endor just as the Ewoks were about to celebrate their victory over the Empire. Sounds promising right? If so, you have to check out this scenario below. You’ve been wishing the Death Star exploded and killed everyone from the Prequels…
