Ubisoft has officially announced Far Cry: Primal, which is indeed the game that was being teased yesterday in the video we posted.
Far Cry: Primal is being exclusively developed for current-gen consoles and PC only, and is expected to release on February 23, 2016 for consoles, and sometime in March for PC. The game will be set in 10,000 B.C. during the Stone Age, which is a time when man wasn’t at the top of the food chain, so expect plenty of ferocious beasts to try and ruin your day. Players will control TAKKAR, the game’s main character, who is the last surviving member of his hunting group. He must do what it takes to survive against the era’s most deadly of predators which will include working with others along the way, and using the spoils of his kills to create better gear to help him become the world’s first apex human predator.
You can check out the announce trailer above, as well as a behind the scenes developer diary below. You can also check out the newly released announcement screenshots after the developer diary.
Stay tuned for more Far Cry: Primal action as it rolls out.
