February 2012 Xbox 360 System Update: Improved Video Performance

Microsoft is pushing out a mandatory Xbox 360 system update today (2/16), and it will address a coloring issue that some users have been experiencing in the new Dashboard’s appearance.  Outside of that specific fix MS just listed the update as providing increased performance.  They’ve also rolled the fix out to their partners who provide apps for the 360, so those will eventually get performance increases as well.  I can’t say that I’ve experienced this video quality issue myself, but anytime a patch is put out that promotes overall performance gains I’m down.  You should receive the update today when you fire up your 360, or if you’ve been playing already restart your device to get the update.  You’ve been digging performance gains…
