The next entry in the iconic Final Fantasy series has officially been delayed after much speculation and leaks last weekend, the original launch date was set for September 30th. While many fans are quite upset, I’m quite satisfied with this announcement. After releasing a video explaining that while the game is done it just is not as good as it could be, they want the optimal experience for all users across all platforms.

If delaying two months will make a difference in performance or visual quality I think everyone should find this news as a net positive. SquareEnix has a history of rushing games and failing to patch them in a reasonable time. This for the time appears to be a more consumer friendly move, and hey if you cant wait to play the game there is a demo for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
