First Episode from the Upcoming Star Wars Resistance Anime Gets a Plot Synopsis

Star Wars Resistance, which is a new anime show set to air this fall, got a plot synopsis for its first episode. The first episode is going to be titled, “The Recruit”, and it will feature at least one existing character in the form of Poe Dameron.

Apparently Poe will be enlisting the help of the show’s lead character, who is named Kazuda (Kaz) Xiono, to find out more about the secretive First Order, which at this point in the Star Wars universe isn’t quite out in the open as one of the galaxy’s more fearsome imposers of will. While on this mission Kaz will be pulled into a dangerous race that sounds a bit like the pod races from Anakin’s youth.

The full synopsis can be read below. It definitely sounds like a fun and insightful episode, and with the inclusion of a few of the established characters from this timeline, I have no doubt that it will be worth our time. Besides, with Rebels ending and The Clone Wars unlikely to return until 2019, Resistance is all we have in terms of animated Star Wars projects, so I’m eager to see what the series is all about this October. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Star Wars Resistance Episode 1 Plot Synopsis

Resistance fighter Poe Dameron tasks young pilot Kazuda (Kaz) Xiono with spying on the First Order. At the time, little was known about the secretive organization and its strength. In order to fulfill his mission, Kaz travels to the space station Colossus, which is being used by many ships as a port to refuel and do repairs. However, there are also dangerous races taking place there. After Kaz bragged with his piloting skills at his arrival there, he is soon drawn into one of the races…
