First Official Image and Director Information Released for Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian Series

Disney and Lucasfilm have dropped the first official image from Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian series, which is now in production. The official synopsis dropped earlier, but now a few more details have been released. Most notably is the list of creatives working on the show, which include Jon Favreau as executive producer and writer, and Dave Filoni as a director for the first episode. Additional episodic directors will include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

As you can see from the image, the main character looks like a badass in his Mandalorian armor, so we can all forget about Sabine Wren being in this show. It’s clearly going to focus on a new character, and that’s just fine with me. Although, I wouldn’t mind a cameo, or at least a mention of the Wren clan in the show, so hopefully Filoni and Favreau will hook it up.

At this time no other details have been released, outside of the fact that the series will stream exclusively through Disney’s upcoming streaming service. Stay tuned for the goods my friends!
