First Order Snowtroopers Get the Spotlight in New ‘The Last Jedi’ Image

Empire is teasing its upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi issue with a new image from the film today, and it features the First Order outcasts from The Force Awakens – Snowtroopers. This class of the First Order’s trooper corps got cut from The Force Awakens, but they’ll be heavily featured in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which has been teased in its trailers and in this new image.

From what we’ve been shown it appears that Kylo will lead a platoon of Snowtroopers during an attack on Crait, which is more than likely where the Resistance base is located. The Empire shot appears to be a new angle from the scene from the trailers showing Kylo leading the troopers into what has to be the Resistance base. You gotta dig their smooth look and gear, which sets them apart from the standard First Order Troopers. Only time will tell if they have any better aim than their standard trooper counterparts, so you’ll have to go and see Star Wars: The Last Jedi to find that out. It hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
