Forza Horizon 4 Prologue Races, Character Select, and First Car Choice Gameplay Preview

The embargo has lifted for sharing video from Forza Horizon 4, so we will be sharing various bits of footage from early parts of the game today. Up first is a preview of the prologue mission, which you must play soon after starting the game for the first time. There’s also a video featuring the character select screen, and the first set of cars you get to choose from after completing the prologue mission.

The prologue mission features a series of four interconnected races to introduce players to one of the game’s core mechanics, which are its seasons and how they affect the visual environments, the race conditions, as well as providing new race missions to partake in as you unlock each season during the campaign. This series of races starts in the Autumn season with a street race, and then it transitions into a baja truck race through a wintery climate. From there you’re treated to a wet Spring rally race, which leads into the final race set during the summer, which is another street race with a pimp ass race car.

This mission is great at showcasing the game’s amazing visuals and race types, so check it out below.

The video below shows off the first time you get to select your driver character, as well as the game’s opening cutscene and your first car choice. I would assume the first three cars you can choose from will be the same for all players, so you’ll get to see which three models are available for your choosing at the start of the game.

Forza Horizon 4 hits September 28 if you pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition. It will release in full on October 2 for all other editions.
