Foul Play, the “side-scrolling brawler that rewards performance over pummelling”, is now available to buy on Steam and the XBLA.
Foul Play features a visual style that hearkens back to other arcade side-scrollers such as Castle Crashers. Players will be tasked with controlling Baron Dashforth as he takes on an evil cast of baddies to please the vaudevillian crowd. Again, button mashing is discouraged in Foul Play. Your total score will be based on how well you perform your beat downs, versus how many times you can hit the same button over and over. Your score will also be influenced by the crowd watching your performance, essentially you’re an actor who is seeking approval from his fans by beating the piss out of bad guys. Foul Play also allows you to team up with a partner in local and online co-op to really amp up the performance action.
For a preview of Foul Play in action head on down past the break. There you will find a new launch trailer full of gameplay, as well as a few new screenshots showcasing the game’s visual style.
Foul Play is now available to download from Steam and XBLA.
