Game Play Trailer for Super Mario 3D (Working Name)

Nintendo dropped all kinds of 3DS bombs yesterday with one of them being a trailer for Super Mario 3D (for now, not official name).  Like Zelda, I’ve kind of fallen out of love with the Super Mario franchise, but in the same light I also respect it immensely.  Lets face it, if there was no Super Mario Bros. on the NES this whole videogame movement may have never gotten off the ground.  It was Mario that made the NES successful, and in the process he also made being a gamer popular.  I may be tempted to return to the Super Mario franchise when the 3DS game launches later this year, but I’m not overly excited for it.

The Little Guy Does Bring Back Some Childhood Memories

Maybe it’s because those damn games are still hard as f*ck, but in general my tastes have moved from platformers to shooters, so I haven’t been enamored with some of the recent Super Mario games.  Either way, Super Mario 3D looks excellent, and I’m sure it’ll look even more tubular once I see it in 3D.  Make sure to check out the Super Mario 3D game play trailer below.  You’ve been realizing that the Nintendo effect is wearing off on you…
