One of Nintendo’s most recognized franchises is making a return to the Wii, and from the looks of the new Zelda: Skyward Sword game play trailer, I have a feeling that fanboys across the World are grinning from ear to ear.  Personally, I’ve fallen out of love with Link and Zelda, but I respect the franchise immensely.  It is by far one of the most popular gaming worlds of all-time, and it’s one of the reasons that Nintendo can even compete with the big boys.  Without Zelda and Mario Nintendo has a pretty lack luster lineup of games, so the little green adventurer has earned his respect.

I just feel like the games are too cutesy and Wii-mote focused for my liking these days.  Besides, there won’t be any type of achievements for playing the game, so there’s no way my brain will be down for a 40 hour romp that will yield me nothing in regards to gaming bragging rights.  I know I’m in the minority when it comes to Zelda love, but even the new game play trailer for Zelda: Skywayrd Sword couldn’t get me pumped about this game.  Check it out below to see if it tickles your fancy.  You’ve been thinking that these new Zelda games can hold a candle to the older ones on NES and SNES…
