Some rabid fans of the COD series have taken their fanboy behavior to the next level. This past Saturday at the Festival at Bel Air shopping center in Maryland, the local Gamestop was robbed of their inventory of Treyarch’s Black Ops offering, which doesn’t go on sale until tomorrow, 11/9. Supposedly, the robbers waited until closing time to launch their attack. They pulled guns on the remaining customers and clerks, and demanded that the copies of COD: Black Ops to be turned over. They made off with over 100 copies of the game, and so far they have not been found. Now these guys are fanboys and a half! That’s a hardcore way of expressing your excitement for a new videogame! Call of Duty: Black Ops will be legally obtainable beginning tonight at midnight, and it’s expected to possibly break the $500 million sale mark set by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
