Gamestop Offering Maulkiller Skin & Silver Saber Crytal for Pre-Ordering SW: TFU2

I received a hot tip yesterday on the pre-order details for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2.  If you pre-order TFU2 from Gamestop, you will get an exclusive Maulkiller skin to use in game, as well as a silver saber crystal.  Yes, Maulkiller is the result of a genetic splice between Starkiller and Darth Maul.  He’s the abortion you see in the picture above.  What is it with cloning and genetics in the Star Wars universe these days?  It seems to be the go-to motif if you need to expand the ficiton of the universe.  I call it a cheap way of being creative to make more money.  Without cloning, there doesn’t seem to be a plot for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2.

My fanboy feelings aside, the pre-order bonuses are nice enough considering they won’t cost you anything.  The silver saber crystal actually seems useful.  I guess you’ll get some in game force boosts as well as a silver saber while using it, so it’s something to tickle your balls.  I can’t say the same about Maulkiller.  The character skin looks like Maul and Starkiller boned each other, and this abomination is the result.  Beat!  Take a look below for more details, and use the Via link if you want to get in on the inbreeding action.  You’ve been bred with a dude…

  • Maulkiller Skin – In the cloning facilities of Kamino, Darth Vader created a warrior of unparalleled strength and power by combining the genetic material of Darth Maul, former apprentice of Sith Lord Darth Sidious, with his own apprentice, Starkiller. The resulting aberrant clone possessed traits from both warriors, but the crude fusion of two disparate Force users quickly produced physical and mental instabilities that led to the unfortunate clone’s destruction. For a brief time he struck fear into the hearts of all who faced him, even Lord Vader himself.
  • Maulkiller Silver Saber Crystal – The perfect companion to the Maulkiller costume, the silver crystals make his dual lightsabers look like an extension of the silver Zabrac styled tattoos that cover his body and face. This powerful crystal allows the player to consume less Force Energy when using Force Powers so that he can devastate his enemies.
