Gaming Roundup: Red Dead Redemption Backwards Compatibility, Mighty No. 9 Honest Trailer, and Tragic Overwatch Backstories

Well it’s about that time of day here at EB HQ to roundup all of today’s worthy video game news in one simple post. There’s definitely one big item worth learning about, so head on down below and find out what you may have missed today from the world of gaming.

First up, the biggest announcement today comes from Rockstar Games, which revealed that Red Dead Redemption will be backwards compatible on the Xbox One this Friday! Gamers who own any version of the game from the Xbox 360 will be able to play it on the Xbox One, and it will be available for purchase on the platform as well on July 8th.

Up next is the Honest Game Trailer for Mighty No. 9 courtesy of Smosh Games, which you can have a laugh with below.

Dorkly released a video that details the tragic history of five of Overwatch’s heroes. Who knew how depressing some of the character’s lives were before being featured in the game, so head on down below to find out more about them and what makes them tick.

Capcom released a trailer to show off The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker DLC coming to Monster Hunter Generations X, which you can watch below.

Indie game This is the Police got a new trailer today and a release date, which will be July 28th on PC.

MS released a new trailer for ARK: Survival Evolved to show off the new Redwood biome and the Titanosaur, which you can peep out in the video below.

Finally, Sony released an announcement trailer for Lifeless Planet for the PS4 and a video for Alienation’s couch co-op mode. The Furi launch trailer was also released on Sony’s YouTube channel. You can watch all three below.
