We’ve been getting a heavy helping of Gears of War 3 news this week with the launch date officially being announced, and now some more details on the Gears 3 beta have also been shared.  First off, make sure to head on over to this link and vote on which maps you’d like to see in the beta when it becomes available this Spring.  I’m really digging how EPIC is doing their best to involve the Gears community in every step of the process, at least in regards to putting the final touches on what should be the greatest game to hit the Xbox 360 to date.  By the way, before you continue on how about checking out the Gears of War 3 box art below?  Much more going on than the previous two titles, plus Grayson’s (Bulletstorm guy) two Dads are prominently featured!

Providing a beta is reason enough to believe that Gears of War 3 is going to be the best of the series, because EPIC should now be able to avoid all of the launch day bull sh*t that occurred with Gears 2.  Big kudos to @GearsViking and @TheRealCLiffyb for getting this done!  If you’d like to get a look at the beta for Gears of War 3 check out the video below.  I’m totally digging the trashball arena, and how can you not get chubbed up for the Cole Train wearing his helmet!  It’s by far the best part of the video, so watch out around :53 seconds in to see Cole get his bayonet on.  September 20, 2011 can’t come soon enough!  You’ve started to get the Gears itch again, and it ain’t from your herpes infection…
