Life is good, I finally have Gears of War 3.  I, like millions of gamers across the world finally got my hands on Gears 3 last night, and I’m happier than a pig in sh*t.  I went all out for this release and purchased the Epic Edition of Gears of War 3, which was full of all kinds of knick-knacks and collectibles.  At this point in time I’ve spent upwards of $270 dollars in total on this game between the Epic edition, controller, and the various bits of day one DLC.  Most gamers would want to slit their wrists over that investment for a game, but once I opened my Epic Edition of Gears 3 and saw its contents, I knew the price was right.  That feeling was firmly validated the moment I put the disc into my 360.

Gears 3 is the game I’ve been waiting for, and the wait was worth it.  For now I’ll leave you with a video of me unboxing the Epic Edition of Gears of War 3.  Enjoy and be jealous.  One day you’ll have a big boy job too.  Oh, and check out the bonus Gears 3 freak out video.  Yes, I’m an a*shole.  You’ve been dying to see that Fenix statue…
