Who would have ever thought that a Epic’s wildly popular Gears of War videogame franchise would get turned into a board game, but that is exactly what Fantasy Flight Games has done.  Gears of War: The Board Game is set to hit retail sometime towards the end of August with the Amazon listing having an 8/31 drop date.  For a retardedly high price of $79.99 fanboys of the GOW series can score the board game, which features a card based game that looks similar to other strategy board games.  Personally, I would rather stick bamboo shoots under my fingernails than play any type of board game, but for those of you that don’t need an overabundance of auditory and visual stimuli while gaming, this may just be the change of pace you’ve been looking for.

If Anything, Gears of War: The Board Game has some Kick A*s Dice and Player Pieces

For a full look into what this odd board game based on a videogame is about head on over to the description page found here.  I’m guessing it’s similar to other card based board games like, well hell, I don’t really know what like because I never went full nerd by playing games like Magic, or Dungeons and Dragons.  Why don’t you just watch the rather epic trailer for Gears of War: The Board Game to see if it tickles your testes, or your woman parts if you’re of the fairer sex.  You’ve been thinking not so much on this odd licensing deal…
