Go Behind the Scenes With ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ Featurettes

Two new featurettes for ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ have hit the Net in a move similar to the promotions seen for ‘Thor’ and ‘X-Men: First Class’.  These two short clips take a behind the scenes look at the production of the next Marvel superhero to hit the silver screen.  Personally, I don’t know jack about Steve Rogers outside of what EB writer Leviathen has posted, so I’m going into this movie with a blank slate.  From what I’ve seen it looks to be pretty solid, but trailers and controlled footage can make even the sh*ttiest of flicks seem bada*s, so the verdict is still out on the Cap.

Regardless, I’ll still probably enjoy it as I do most movies that don’t involve Rom-Coms, or depressing “I want to kill myself after watching this movie” motifs.  What can I say?  Real life for the most part is awful, so why do I want to be reminded of how crappy we are as a human race by going to something that should be entertaining like a movie?  I’ll take sub par comic book movies like the ‘Green Lantern’ over a true to life film like ‘Larry Crowne’ any day.

I’ll leave reality to the news and print media, but when it comes to films I want to see pure unadulterated sci-fi/fantasy.  Besides, it’s nice to escape from the doldrums of life every once in awhile, and a good sci-fi/fantasy flick is a great medium to do so.  Excuse the soapbox rant, but you should check out the two featurettes for ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ below.  The film itself will open on 7/22 in both 2D and 3D.  You’ve sort of understand where I’m coming from on the whole movie thing…
