Go Behind the Scenes with the Soundtrack of ‘Cuphead’

The art isn’t the only thing in Cuphead that’s unique. The developers got together a big band of 42 musicians to record the soundtrack to the game. In the video above, you can see how they went about recording the song, “Floral Fury.” This is the first track of the soundtrack composed by Kris Maddigan.

The group includes a 13-member big band orchestra and a 10-member ensemble. You’ll find heavy influences from Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, and Gene Krupa in the jazz-like sound of Cuphead’s soundtrack. [Editor’s Note: my kind of shit!]

The game’s full soundtrack will be available the same day the game launches on September 29th of this year.
