God of War Releasing on April 20th, Watch the New Immaculate Story Trailer In Celebration

Santa Monica Studios has revealed the official release date for the new God of War game alongside an amazing looking story trailer today, so fans of the franchise and Norse mythology should rejoice. God of War will be releasing on April 20, 2018, aka 4/20, for the PS4 family of consoles.

The new story trailer that released alongside the game’s drop date is a work of moving art. It details the main plot of the game, and sets up the adventure that Kratos and his Son will share in the game. The visuals are immaculate, and the tone of the narrative appears to be somber but hopeful. I do think this is going to be one of 2018’s most special gaming experiences, so you must check out the trailer above to get a sense of this game’s majestic look and feel.

In addition to the release date news and trailer, Santa Monica Studios also revealed three collector’s editions for the game, as well as its pre-order bonuses. In terms of pre-order bonuses gamers will get one of the three below shields for their early investment at participating retailers for any edition of the game. If you pre-order it from GameStop or EB Games, you’ll also receive the Luck of Ages XP Boost, which grants +10 Luck and has 1 Enchantment Slot.

The Collector’s Edition will retail for $129.99, and it will feature all of the items you see in the image below.

The Stone Mason Edition will retail for $149.99, and it will include all of the items featured below.

Finally, the Digital Deluxe Edition will retail for $69.99, and it will feature the pictured items below.

Stay tuned for more God of War details as they become available.
