Golfers Do You Really Want to Use the New Tiger Woods My Swing App?

Tiger and company released an official ‘Tiger Woods: My Swing” app on iTunes yesterday to help golfers around the World improve their swing.  It costs $9.99 and can currently be used on the iPhone or iPod Touch.  There are plans to port it to Android as well as the iPad, but no release dates have been given for these platforms.  The app is hosted by GolfShot and essentially lets you record your swing from your device and then compare it to other amateur golfers, or even a Pro like Mr. Woods himself.  It’ll highlight the key positions required to pull off a good golf shot and compare your fundamentals to someone who may have some more skill than you.

My question is, do you really want swing advice from Tiger Woods these days?  I mean his game looks worse than it ever has, and I really am beginning to question if he’ll ever return to his pre-f*ckup form.  So do you really want to compare your swing to his using his new My Swing app?  Obviously, I’m kidding around, even if he doesn’t have any game right now he still has one of the more sound swings in the Universe, but he really has lost that “awe” factor in regards to his game.

I’m sure if you’re serious about your game his app and swing will probably help depending on your natural athleticism, but isn’t it still strange to even think that Tiger Woods’ swing may not be the best model to study these days?  If you’re interested in this app you can grab it from the App Store here.  All proceeds go to his foundation, so it’s not like you’re helping to fill the void from all of his dropped sponsorship money.  Below you’ll also find the ads for the Tiger Woods My Swing App.  You’ve been thinking that two years ago this thing would’ve sold like hotcakes…
