Google recently announced that it’ll be releasing a TV set top box in a partnership with Logitech.  The device will sport a 1.2GHz Atom processor with 4GB memory, 802.11n Wi-Fi, dual HDMI-out ports, Dolby 5.1 surround sound and a pair of USB ports.  It’ll also be running on the Android OS, and you can hook up a webcam for video-chat at 720p on your big screen.  You do have a big screen these days don’t you?

With this yet-to-be named device you’ll basically be able to tap into Google on your TV and pull in any video content found on the web.  Think about the XXX possibilities!  Hey, if you’re a guy you know you do it.  Don’t look down on the E.B.

You’ll also be able to pull your typical video sources like cable, satellite, and DVR’s.  I’m not sure if it’ll also work as a Slingbox type of device and enable you to access your video content anywhere that has an Internet connection, so if you know more please comment below.

Probably the coolest feature will be the remote control app that will be available for both the iPhone and Android based phones.  With this you’ll be able to control the device right from your phone, and depending on what type of TV you have you may also be able to control that with your phone via this app.  The future we’ve seen in movies is becoming more and more of a reality.  You’ve been Googled, again…
