We’ve all been there. Sitting in front of the TV waiting for something to entertain us, and a reality show comes one. We don’t turn it off, and deep down we kind of enjoy it. Here are the top ten guilty pleasures we might have all let ourselves enjoy once or twice.
1. Pretty Little Liars
Emily, Hanna, Spencer and Aria seem no closer to finding the elusive A. People are starting to realize the value in this show has nothing to do with solving the mystery – it’s clearly must-see TV for the fashion and attitude at this point.
2. Dance Moms
Each week there are new routines, new costumes, new solos and of course more drama between the moms on this show following young dancers. It couldn’t really be this bad, could it? Either way it’s entertainment.
3. Cheer Perfection
Southern moms, eight year olds and backstabbing drama all in the name of reality TV. It’s one of the more ridiculous shows on digital television, but you can’t deny it’s entertaining most of the time.
4. Honey Boo Boo
The original and addicting watch-until-you-cringe reality show. She is the star of memes and videos all over the internet, and for good reason. She is loud, ridiculous, and annoying. Everything you can’t help but watch.
5. Long Island Medium
Theresa, the psychic star of this reality show, visits clients who need her services to connect with loved ones beyond the grave. You won’t tell your friends you watch it, but you can’t help it sometimes.
6. Lizard Lick Towing
Two brothers who own a repossession business get in all kinds of crazy shenanigans while tracking down cars in a small southern town. Dumb and loud, but pretty funny at times.
This is really just showcasing stupid and funny videos found on the internet, yet it’s still entertains viewers and causes the occasional gut-busting laugh when MTV airs it 8 times a day.
8. Snooki & J-Woww
Ok, so Jersey Shore technically ended, but how could you not watch the episode of this spin-off when Snooki had her baby? And then the next one when she brought it home, and she and Jionni were so clueless. You’ll get hooked..
9. I Was Impaled
Real life ER footage combined with reenactments of actual situations where patients survived impalement makes for a very specific type of reality show that is surprisingly compelling.
10. Couples Therapy
D-minus list celebrities move into a house for 6 days in order to heal their relationships. All you need to know about this show is that the biggest celebrity on it is Courtney Stodden and it is hilarious watching her every cartooned move. Shane Lamas and Nick Ritchie also appear and immediately get into a rivalry with Courtney and her husband.
