Fresh off of the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection (review), the gaming world has officially been given one of its first looks at the multiplayer of Halo 5: Guardians.

The screenshots, which can be found in the gallery below, showcase just a slice of what to expect from the highly anticipated Halo 5. Boasting top-notch visuals and breathtaking environments, these screenshots are an amazing sample of what to expect from Halo 5: Guardians.

Taken from the Halo 5 multiplayer beta, the screenshots feature three different maps – Empire, Truth and a Breakout match on Crossfire.

After gawking at these amazing Halo 5 screens, be sure to prepare yourself for the multiplayer beta which occurs from December  29, 2014 to January 18, 2015. Those that purchase Halo: The Master Chief are guaranteed access to the beta.

Halo 5: Guardians will release exclusively on the Xbox One.
