Halo TV Show Greenlit By Showtime – Primetime Spartans

Showtime has announced that it’s working with Microsoft and 343 Industries on a brand new Halo live-action series. Entertainment Weekly had a whole lot of info on the new show, as well as this quote from some of the members of the team working on the show:

Halo is our most ambitious series ever, and we expect audiences who have been anticipating it for years to be thoroughly rewarded,” said David Nevins, President and CEO of Showtime. “In the history of television, there simply has never been enough great science fiction. Kyle Killen’s scripts are thrilling, expansive and provocative, Rupert Wyatt is a wonderful, world-building director, and their vision of Halo will enthrall fans of the game while also drawing the uninitiated into a world of complex characters that populate this unique universe.”

I’m pretty excited for this, I still have a lot of love for the Halo series even though that love has dwindled over the last few years. What do you guys think about that show? Are you excited for it/ do you think it will be good for fans of the games or will it be an awful dumpster fire?

“Making you a better geek, one post at a time!”
