Hands-off Preview: Super Soldiers are All the Rage in Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Campaign

The Call of Duty franchise is known to most gamers as the ultimate first person shooting game. Most gamers play the Call of Duty franchise for the multiplayer experience that the various games offer. On November 6, 2015 Treyarch and Activision are looking to shake things up a bit for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, especially with its campaign mode.

While at E3 I was able to get an extended look at the upcoming campaign for Black Ops III in which gamers are going to be introduced to the ultimate super soldier. In Black Ops III players are going to be connected to almost everything in the world and fellow comrades thanks to Direct Neural Interface (DNI). This will allow players to hack just about anything that can be hacked, a similar gameplay mechanic to Watch Dogs’ offerings.

The campaign can be played solo or be played online with up to four players. This will surely make Black Ops III a memorable campaign that will allow you and your friends to come up with new and exciting ways to complete each mission.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s environments are also proving to be game changing. The areas are much larger allowing players to utilize the new abilities instead of just shooting their way through each mission. Also, if you have played through the campaign and want to give it another go, just know that the AI will change their tactics on you. Treyarch wants players to experience new ways to complete each mission giving Black Ops III a replayability  factor that previous entries were missing.

Treyarch is pushing the boundaries for what seems to be the most exciting and innovative gameplay the Call of Duty franchise has ever seen. Call of Duty: Advance Warfare first introduced enhanced mechanics for soldiers and that has carried over into Black Ops III. From larger environments to tactical rigs, this is shaping up to be a fresh new take on a franchise favorite. If  you are not a campaign kind of gamer and multiplayer is more up your alley, be sure to check out our hands-on preview post to learn even more about what Black Ops III has to offer gamers.
