20XX was one of the few games I previewed at PAX East that was not pixelated. In speaking with artist Zach Urtes, he stated that the original vision was to make 20XX a pixelated game, but went with a more traditional art style for the game instead.

By playing the game it was evident that Chris King crafted a game that is very influenced by Mega Man X, but is still a different game all in its own. 20XX is a very fun game to play and it only gets better when you play with someone else. Each level progressively gets harder, but with the help of a co-op buddy it should be a breeze to play.

20XX will be released later this year and the game is still consistently changing. The game was formerly known as Echoes of Eridu before the name was changed to 20XX. There is a chance that the game will continue to change because what I previewed during PAX East was not the same game it was prior to PAX East. 20XX will provide hours of gameplay for you and your co-op buddy. 20XX is available now on Steam Early Access for $9.99. .
