Video game auteur Hideo Kojima has been steadily working on his next project, and in doing so brought about a friendship of Hollywood proportions. With Death Stranding, Kojima has brought in Norman Reedus (Boondock Saints, The Walking Dead) and Mads Mikkelsen (Doctor Strange, Hannibal), the latter of whom has been palling around with Kojima as production of the game continues.
Entering into his first foray as a video game actor, Mikkelsen sat down for the newest installment of Kojima’s talk show–aptly titled Hideotube–to discuss the first time he met Kojima, how he’s had to use his imagination more in regards to his acting because there’s no set, and much, much more.
