Homeless Hotspots are all the Rage at SXSW 2012

The folks at SXSW have figured out a way to get homeless people working again by making them mobile hotspots for convention goers.  I for one think it’s a great way to earn a buck for these bums, but others are calling the move exploitative.  I mean how else are homeless people supposed to get work when they look like trash, and speak in a dialect that only other vagabonds can understand?  At least this is an opportunity to earn a few bucks to buy their next bottle of Wild Turkey and a pack of cigs.  I’m more surprised that the organizers of SXSW would want these people around their convention in the first place than the fact that humans are being used as mobile hotspots.  You can weigh in with your own opinion using the comments section below.  Do you agree or disagree with the use of homeless people for mobile hotspots?  You’ve been wanting your very own homeless hotspot…
