How ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ Pushes the Limits of Technical Boundaries

As if Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End couldn’t impress fans further, a new behind-the-scenes look at the game’s development reveals how immaculate Naughty Dog truly is when it comes to attention to detail.

Believable complexity is the goal for Naughty Dog, a developer that, judging by the video above, contains a wealth of passionate individuals with a penchant for the subtleties behind game design. Lead designers, programmer, technical art directors, character artists and more combine to provide the ultimate insight behind Uncharted 4‘s development process. Whether it’s an explorable space ten times the size of its predecessors or the wetness of the ground’s dirt, it has been carefully crafted by skilled hands. Branching narrative pathways bridge Uncharted 4‘s main story together, as well, and each one seems to maintain the same caliber of proper pacing and design.

And, of course, there’s Nolan North.

It’s hard to pick out just one facet of the game to praise. Each member of Naughty Dog has a bigger picture in mind, hoping to fully immerse players into a world where the technical aspects remain unacknowledged.

Watching this video may make the wait for May 10th all the more painful, but it’s worth every second.
