inFamous 2 Opening Cinematic Has Me Ready to Return to the Series

Sucker Punch recently released the opening cinematic for their follow up title to 2009’s smash hit on the PS3, inFamous.  In the video we are treated to the same high-quality motion-comic animations that the first game used so well to move the plot along.  It seems this cinematic will be used as a “previously on LOST” tool to catch up both inFamous veterans and n00bs, as to what’s been going on with the Cole and his electric personality since we last saw him at the end of the original inFamous.

inFamous 2 is without a doubt one of my must play, and most aniticpated titles of 2011.  In fact, I’d say it’s second only to the Gears of War 3 release later this Fall.  For me personally it’s still the most entertaining open-world game I’ve ever played, and to this date I think it’s still the only game in that genre that I’ve actually completed.  I’m not sure why, but there’s something about the inFamous Universe that kept me coming back until I stopped the forces of evil from completely destroying Empire City.

Damn! I knew I Shouldn’t Have Eaten That Moldy Bread!

I can’t wait to see where inFamous 2 takes the franchise, so I’ll be eagerly standing bye until June 7, 2011 (Release date).  In the mean time make sure to get yourself caught up with the doings in the inFamous World by watching the inFamous 2 opening cinematic below.  You’ve been feeling the itch to shoot some lighting bolts out of your finger tips…
