iPhone 5 Launching in September With iOS 5? Only Jobs Knows!

The iPhone 5 rumor mill is bursting with new bits of unverified news as each week goes bye without an official statement from Lord Jobs and his Apple kingdom.  The latest round of rumors are focusing on the iPhone 5’s release date, which many sites are pegging as September.  Bloomberg believes this to be the case as it’ll coincide with the release of iOS 5.  Outside of a release date for the 5 many sites have been reporting that the phone will have a drastically different looking case than its predecessors.  As you can see in the image above, which isn’t confirmed as legit or bogus, the 5 may have a metallic case with a smooth gun metal finish.  It’s also been reported that the iPhone 5 will sport the speedy new A5 processor, and 8MP camera.

I don’t know about you, but this is the first time that I’ve actually given a rat’s a*s about an iPhone release.  Honestly, over the past few weeks I’ve found myself quickly falling out of love with my HTC Thunderbolt.  Our relationship has become quite strained over the past few weeks due to inconsistent performance issues, sh*tty signals, and a battery that couldn’t power a remote control.  So, dare I say that I may jump ship?  Dare away, because after owning an iOS device in my iPad 2 I’ve begun to see the light.  Yes they’re devices for dummies, but that is where they shine.  I didn’t think I’d like the Apple Dictatorship, but you know what, I kind of like the simplicity, and the fact that the damn thing just works is also a bonus.

I love Android, and think that their OS has wondrous amounts of potential, but until Google can get all of the hands out of the Android cookie jar, there’s never going to be the stability that iOS users see on their toys.  He may be a pompous a*s, but Jobs does know what he’s doing when it comes to personal devices and future technologies.  I’ll be keeping tabs on the iPhone 5 project, because I think it may be time to join in on the fanboy frenzy of scoring a new iOS device on launch day, so stay tuned for more updates.  You’ve been thinking that the Buddha is drinking that Cupertino Kool-Aid…
