On November 12, 2018, Stan Lee, the main force behind Marvel Comics and many of its superheroes, died at the young age of 95. It’s a sad time in comic book land considering how impactful this man was on the genre, and the millions of people his characters entertained, or provided motivation for in their own lives as they read about their heroic ordeals and deeds. It truly is amazing to think about how many lives this man indirectly touched through his art form, which is why many of us may be feeling a bit more sad today than most Tuesdays.
If you need a way to remember Stan and his contributions to geekdom, you have to check out this Stan Lee video tribute from TheGaroStudios YouTube channel. It is done so well, that’s it’s impossible to not get choked up while watching it. It features a mix of Stan Lee interviews set to his various cameos in Marvel movies, as well as his animated appearances in Marvel cartoons and video games. The video just nails the essence of Stan Lee, which makes it very satisfying as a fan, but also quite sad since he’s now gone.
Rest in peace Mr. Lee, excelsior!
