It’s Official: Ben Roethlisberger Suspended for 6 Games

I literally just got word from my EPSN alert service that Big Ben Roethlisberger has been suspended six games for the 2010 season.  Talk about a major punch in the nuts for Steelers nation.  I’ll admit that this guy is a douche and needs some sort of punishment, but six games for the starting QB almost seals the deal that Pittsburgh will miss the playoffs two years in a row.  What an asshole!

The NFL cited that Ben was suspended for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.  I think it’s semi-harsh considering Mike Vick only got a two game suspension after he served time for killing animals.  I’m not sure if Ben’s sentence can be reduced like [slider title=”Vick’s”]I believe Vick’s sentence was originally set for 6 games, but some clause allowed it to be reduced to 2.[/slider], but I’d think if it remains as the full 6 games Ben should learn his lesson.

What a tool, I can’t believe this crap.  He’s found another way to screw up my NFL season!  Trust me, I appreciate what he has done for the Steelers, but I also loathe him for his off-the-field behavior.  The worst part is that the Steers blow without him.  They weren’t winning Super Bowls again until his dopey ass showed up, so all of us Steelers fans are caught between a rock and a hard place.  Do we hope he gets his shit together and returns to salvage a possible 2010 playoff run, or do we want him to die and rot in hell for his sins against our team?

Pittsburgh fans are going to vomit all over this guy now.  No one messes with their team’s chance of winning Super Bowls, and by Ben being suspended for six games he’s going to slink ever more into the depths of Steelers fan’s shit lists.  I can’t wait to hear all of the Browns and Bengals fans chime in.  They win a few games against the Steelers and now they think they’re world champs.  It still is 6-0 people, so don’t get too high on your horses.

You’ve been enlightened…
