James Cameron Officially Announces Two Additional ‘Avatar’ Films

Well d’uh!  Like a movie that grossed more money than most 3rd world countries wouldn’t have a sequel.  I think we all knew it was just a matter of time before more ‘Avatar’ movies were made, but Cameron has made it official with an announcement coming from FOX that 2 additional films will be added to the franchise.  The source stated that James would like to get the scripts wrapped up in early 2011 with filming beginning later that year.  If all goes well FOX expects the first ‘Avatar’ sequel to hit theaters in December of 2014, with the final chapter debuting the following December in 2015.  Neither of these films have titles yet and Cameron doesn’t know if he’ll film them back to back, but the world of Pandora will be back on the big screen to fry our senses before we know it.  Here’s to the Na’vi!  You’ve been hoping that these sequels don’t suck, and that you’ll get a glimpse of Neytiri’s blue boobs…
