James Wan Tweets an Image from the Aquaman Movie Editing Bay In Anticipation of SDCC Trailer Release

UPDATE – A new official poster came out shortly after we published this story, so it has been embedded after the break.

Director James Wan, who is helming the live-action Aquaman movie starring Jason Mamoa as the titular character, has tweeted out an image of the film from the editing bay where he’s frantically working on the film prior to its rumored SDCC trailer reveal. It does appear as if he himself is either polishing a few scenes that have been chosen for the trailer, or doing the trailer edit himself, either way he’s getting something prepared for this week’s SDCC festivities.

The image itself is a bit blurry, but it looks like it could be from some sort of flashback that sets up Aquaman’s universe. I think the character shown is probably Queen Atlanna’s husband, who is flexing his powers over the sea by summoning two jumping whales. Who knows, that’s my guess, but I do think it’s a flashback setup versus Aquaman himself in full on Kings gear with trident. Check it out below to judge for yourself.
