‘Joker’ Sequel Apparently In the Works

UPDATE – This is all BS, THR got called out.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. and Todd Phillips are currently talking about a sequel to his Joker smash hit, which is something he initially was hesitant to do, but never fully ruled it out.

It appears that whatever trepidations he may have had, or the fact that WB made a billion on Joker, aren’t stopping him now from discussing the project. Joaquin Phoenix apparently has sequel language in his contract, and he’s been open to a sequel longer than Phillips, so there’s probably some fire to this smoke.

One would have to believe that even if Phillips didn’t want to do a sequel WB would run one anyway based on the cash it made on the original, so I’m glad that it seems like all of the key names will return for this now apparent sequel project.

Stay tuned for more developments.
