June 6 Shaping Up to be Geekiest Day of the Year: Apple WWDC & E3 Begin

If you’re not jacked about this upcoming week, then you ain’t a geek (feels like that should be on a sandwich board at a protest?)  Both the Apple WWDC and the video game industry’s biggest event, E3, will kick off tomorrow to the delight of geeks around the world.  I plan to cover as much breaking news as one man can handle, so make sure to stay tuned to the site tomorrow for all of the news coming out of these events that I deem worthy.  No BS here folks!

I’m mainly looking forward to Microsoft’s press conference, and the return of Steve Jobs to the demo stage at WWDC.  News wise I’m interested on finding out what Gears of War Exile could be all about, as well as finding out what the rumored Halo project will entail.  Nintendo’s Project Cafe will undoubtedly dominate the E3 expo, but my attention will be on my console of choice; the Xbox 360.  Don’t fret though, I’ll put my fanboy allegiance aside and cover the other 2 console makers as well.

Which Company Will Jobs Throw Under the Bus This Year?

In regards to Apple’s WWDC my main interest lies in the iOS 5 announcement.  I want to see what the folks at Cupertino have been up to in regards to their mobile OS.  I also wouldn’t be surprised if Jobs drops another major reveal about the next iPhone, or possibly even the next iPad.  I must say that ever since I turned to the Darkside I slowly find myself appreciating Apple more and more.  At times I feel like a traitor, but I can’t deny the sexiness of the iPad 2, and all of the apps that are out there to make it even more awesome than it already is.

Make sure to keep a close eye on the EB tomorrow, because coverage of these events should kick off around 12 noon EST, and literally run throughout the entire day.  By the end of Monday my brain may be on geek overload, but that’s not always a bad thing.  I love this time of year, and I can’t wait to get things started.  Take a look at the proposed Monday agenda below to find out when all of your favorite tech will be dished about.  You’ve been thinking that I need more people to cover this nerd extravaganza…
