Killzone Shadow Fall pre-order bonus
Killzone Shadow Fall pre-order bonus

Sony has released an extended gameplay preview for Killzone: Shadow Fall that shows off the E3 demo that members of the media got to play while at the event. It’s the same high-quality demo that I got to play at the show and previewed in this post, so the video footage below makes for a good supplement to that opinion piece.

The preview shows off the OWL, which is a drone companion that can be used for mutliple purposes. It can provide a shield, or a sentry turret, and it can also stun a group of enemies and serve as a Bionic Commando-like zipline. All of the OWL’s functions are controlled through the PS4’s new touchpad, and swapping between them came quite naturally after a few minutes with the live demo.

In addition to the gameplay preview Sony also released pre-order details for Killzone: Shadow Fall. Gamers who pluck down cash early will get the following bonuses:

  • OWL Skin – Give your OWL a unique appearance with these exclusive skins. Who says combat drones need to be devoid of personality?
  • MP Spotlight Move – Celebrate your triumphs over enemy players in multiplayer mode in a new and unique way with this special victory move.
  • Official Soundtrack – Listen to the epic cinematic score for Killzone: Shadow Fall as it brings both sides of the conflict to life like never before.

You can view the OWL skins below, as well as the extended gameplay trailer for Killzone: Shadow Fall. Don’t forget to pre-order it at your favorite retailer to receive all of the bonus items.
