CES 2016 is going down this week, so all sorts of new gadgets and tech products are being unveiled for geeks to drool over. Kingston, a leader in PC peripherals, has just announced that it will be releasing a new headset for the Xbox One, which is the first time the company has made a product specifically for a gaming console. The headset is based on the popular HyperX Cloud II design, so it’s appropriately named the HyperX CloudX.

The headset will have an inline volume control, and will plug directly into a controller that has a 3.5mm audio port. It features 53mm drivers to provide clear audio and memory foam ear pads for ultra comfort, and to create a more closed sound experience since they’re over-the-ear cans. The HyperX CloudX also ships with a hardshell carrying case, and a detachable mic.

At this time an official price has yet to be revealed, and there isn’t a clear ship date yet, as Kingston has only reported that the headset will be available during the later part of the second quarter of 2016. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
