L.A. Gets Turned Into Mario Kart With Skateboards in New Gaming In Real Life Short

The Corridor Digital duo is back with another gaming in real life VFX short, and this time they transform the streets of L.A. into a giant Mario Kart race track!

Rather than using karts, the team opted for some skateboards, or more like longboards, to race through the streets with, which does make the action a bit more intense. There are also plenty of classic Mario Kart obstacles and references littered throughout the short to give it an authentic Nintendo game in real life feel. Now if only I could harness the power of super-sized turtle shells to make my commute to work much less stressful!

Head on up above to check out Mario Kart Skate in 60fps! You can also watch the behind the scenes video for it after the break.
